I Can’t! Or Can I?

I started today off rushed…and my days are never good when this happens.  I feel overwhelmed, unfocused and annoyed — not exactly feelings that lend themselves to being productive and inspire creativity!

And then I had a session with MY coach — yes, even I have a coach and I’ll always have a coach (and no, I don’t get coached for free simply because we’re all in the same business!) because the power and value in having someone consistently hold me to the highest version of myself is PRICELESS!

So as I was saying, I was feeling pretty frazzled, overwhelmed and uninspired when I started my session this afternoon.  I was having serious doubts about my ability to grow my business to where it needs to be in order for me to pursue my dream the way I really want to.  I was feeling like:

  • I’m not doing this “right”
  • “Nothing” is working
  • I suck at coaching
  • This business is really meant to be a hobby, it can’t possibly support me on it’s own

If you’ve ever tried something new and difficult, you can probably relate to these feelings.  They are pretty “normal” when you’re stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Okay, so the stage is set — you know where I WAS coming FROM now right?  So let me tell you where I am NOW and how I got here!

My coach sent me 3 videos to watch but called out one in particular.  It was a 30 minute investment in my time and I’ll be honest, I was a little annoyed at first —  I didn’t HAVE 30 minutes to watch a video and hadn’t I just told him that?!  But I’m a good student so I did as I was told and I am so glad I did.

So what happened?

I snapped out of my funky state of doubt, fear, criticism and self-judgement by like minute 5!  And spent the next 25 minutes being moved, inspired, motivated and damn near brought to tears (when you watch the video, you’ll understand!).  Without even trying, everything changed in 5 minutes!  

Here’s the message behind this post:

  1. Feelings and emotions are temporary!  Don’t get sucked into believing they are your constant reality – they only are if you allow yourself to dwell there!
  2. The value that the RIGHT Coach can provide for you is AMAZING!  Go try it out and see what it can do for you!

    Me too Kat! I watched that video twice and felt so good about myself, the world and what’s possible when we don’t let “I can’t” stop us from doing what we intuitively know we should do!
